The U16s battled the elements, and the top teams from the region for a coveted place in the regional league for this season.

The team started with a bang with four straight wins in their group - 17-0 v Falcons, 12-3 v Manor, 12-1 Cumberland and 12-5 v Wealden.

However they were a little unprepared for the physicality and ferociousness of the final two teams in the group, and then the rain started to fall. Against Aces, the defence kept the team in the game, being just 1-3 behind at half time, and whilst the front court improved it wasn't enough and they went down 4-5. AP Saints were the final team in the group and were unbeaten, again a poor first half cost Club and despite a strong come-back, winning the second half, they lost 8-12.

Finishing 3rd in the group set up a final play off match against Sparks who were 6th in the other group, and the team re-focused and put in a really strong performance to take the win 12-4.

This secured their place in the regional league, which comprises the top 8 teams in the region and is the path to National Finals. Good luck for the season ahead - it is going to be tough!
