The U19 Netball Performance League (NPL) consists of the eight English Vitality Netball Superleague franchises and two invited teams taking part in the competition. Its aim is to provide the game’s outstanding youth (U19) players with a performance environment and to organise for them regular, highly disciplined and intense competition.
The NPL Tournament in an annual competition for the most talented young netball players in the UK. The tournament has an Under 17, Under 19 and Under 21 competition and includes the teams from the Vitality Netball Superleague franchises, home nations and other high performance programmes.
England Netball introduced the U15 Netball Performance Competition in 2019 which saw VNSL franchises and invited teams compete to enable a high performance competition, whilst developing appropriate skills and experience both on and off the court to help them adapt to a performance environment.
Kent Netball Academies are a fundamental part of the England Netball performance pathway and form part of the talent identification process. The aim of the Academies is to give players the quality individual coaching support they need, educating players on how to train with regards to fitness, skills work and goal setting, as well as many other aspects necessary to become an elite athlete. Academies are selected at Under-13 and Under-15 age groups.
