The team started brightly with new shooting combination Kirsty Hall and Paige Money combining well. Paige was timing her moves well in the circle and soon settled down after a nervous start with her shooting. Kirsty scored some huge shots throughout the match, and the pairing looked equally comfortable when they switched positions at half time.
In the centre court Megan Hayward had an excellent game at C both in attack and defense, keeping up a huge work rate throughout the game. She was backed up well by Charlotte Penny at WD who had a good grip on the Chislehurst WA who was fast and skillful, but Charlie took a lot of difficult interceptions. Cara Hooker took some time to get into the game at WA but began to show more determination and worked well around the circle edge.
In defence Katy Caulfield had the GS pretty tied up as she struggled to get free, which meant that the GA had to do the lions share of the work. Cassie Perry making her debut for Club in the league got better and better as the game went on, and made some crucial rebounds and interceptions, and backing up on Katy's tips.
In the last quarter captain Debbie Greenslade took to the court and had an immediate impact at WA as the front court started to motor. With some enthusastic support on the side line Club staged a fight back and despite being 10 down at one point, managed to pull within 4 goals as the game finished 35-31 to Chislehurst.
