2nd team unable to combat fast playing style of XS
The 2nd team had a tough match against XS, with high pace and accurate shooting from the opposition leading to a heavy loss.
The team struggled throughout the match to slow the play of XS through the court, which left Katy Caulfield somewhat exposed in the defensive circle against a very accurate shooter. Both Katy and Cassie Perry were fingertip close to a lot of interceptions, but the XS shooting pairing were causing a lot of problems with their mobility.
Some inaccurate passing and hesitation in the front court led to a lot of turnover ball, although Kirsty Hall scored some fantastic long range goals under huge pressure. Paige Money looked very composed for her relative lack of experience and is starting to really open up on court.
Emma Hall and Ellouise Edwards both newly promoted from the 3rd team both aquitted themselves well and the team did enough to hang on for the extra point, with the final score being 29-53.
