High work rate reaps rewards for the 2nd team

In the first quarter Club made a good start, with strong defending by all players, and a good attack lead by Jemma Fruin, Kirsty Hall, and Emma Hall. This good work allowed Club to take the lead over Istead, however, Istead did not give up and fought back strongly, putting the pressure back on. Fortunately this spurred on a greater team effort to get the game back under Club's contol.

In the third quarter Club brought on fresh legs in Megan Hayward, Paige Money and GraceThomas. The team managed to keep up their energy levels and did not allow a dip in their performance.

In the fourth quarter there was a continuous energy on court, with everyone making the final push, with each member of the team getting interceptions, turning over balls, and pulling away to win the game.

With clean shooting from Kirsty, Paige and Gemma, great defence by Sadie Burch and Elize Ansell, and fluidity of movement up and down the court, provided by Debbie Greenslade, Shannon Murray, Grace and Megan, this was a good team performance with everyone playing exceptionally well, and utilising what they had worked on in training.
