Despite a shaky start, the 2nd team had a strong finish to their match against Chislehurst to complete the season on a high.

As it was the last game of the season, the 2nd team were determined to finish with a win. However this wasn't evident at the start of the match as Club kept making silly mistakes which was costing goals. It wasn't all bad as Jemma Fruin at GA and Kirsty Hall at GS were putting in their shots and getting lovely rebounds. There was good play through the court with the defence bringing the ball down nicely with Temi Adewuni at GD, Shannon Murray at WD, Megan Hayward at C and Debbie Greenslade at WA. Ellouise Edwards got some great interceptions and rebounds at GK to keep Club in it but at quarter time the score was 13-11 to Chislehurst.

No changes were made in the second quarter and Club went onto the court with their heads up. Unfortunately, the second quarter wasn't good at all with bad passes being thrown and the defence not tight enough through the whole court (it also didn't help that the Chislehurst shooters didn't miss). At times Club did bring the score up to being nearly equal but would then slpu back again. Time was called as Kirsty's shins were hurting again and coach Sonia Grant had a big talk to the team, but the quarter ended soon after and Club were down 21-25.

At the start of the third quarter, the team played much better netball. Jemma and Kirsty's rotation in the circle was really good, Debbie and Megan gave some lovely feeds to the shooters, Shannon was offering and coming forward for the ball, Temi got some great interceptions and Elloise got amazing rebounds as well as fantastic interceptions. The only thing Club needed to do better was stick tighter to their players and this started to pay off as the score was even at 37-37 at the final break.

Again, the team was left unchanged and at the start of the last quarter, Club managed to score quickly off their centre pass and then break Chislehurst's centre and convert. With lovely feeds from Megan and Debbie and even better shooting from Kirsty and Jemma, Club were on a roll taking out the match in a great last quarter by 50-45 to finish a creditable 4th place in Division 3.
