Some rocky patches but Club hold on for the win!

Club had a good start with Debbie Greenslade making good drives to circle edge and Sadie Burch and Jemma Fruin showing excellent rebounding and tight defence. The shooting was a bit shaky at the start but once Megan Melbourne and Kirsty Hall got comfortable they didn't miss much and if they did they got the rebounds. Centre court made good passes and moves to bring the ball up the court to the shooters and even made some interceptions to gain extra chances of getting goals. At the end of the first quarter the score was 12-8 to Club.

The second quarter was not the best for Club as goals were not going in and the Epic shooters did not miss once they got it in the shooting circle. Club lost a bit of focus meaning the score at the end of the quarter was 16-16 and Club had lost that quarter 4-8.

Club were determined to do better and started to focus a lot more. The defence was tight and Sadie and Megan (who had swapped positions with Jemma) were getting excellent rebounds and marking well. Shannon Murray managed to get tips on the ball and also good interceptions meaning Club could get a couple of goals ahead. With the goals going in, Club won the quarter 14-8 making the score 30-24.

In the last quarter Club were fighting to win this match as the scores were getting close together and a few mistakes were made, which we couldn't afford. However the team remained focused and whenever the shooters had a chance they hardly missed their shots and the defence were still marking extremely tight to stop the Epic shooters from having easy shots. Unfortunately the mistakes meant that Epic had chances to gain goals which they did, meaning they won that quarter. However from Club's hard work in the previous quarters, we held on to win 38-34.
