Strong start from 2nd team secures the win

The seconds got off to a great start against Electra, with Shannon intercepting by Electra's first couple of centre passes giving Club a great advantage going into the rest of the game. But it was not over yet and Electra were slowly getting back into the game. A solid defence by Sadie and Temi (playing up from the 3rd team) made it hard for Electra to score and helped the front court to keep a cool head and get the ball into the circle and make the shots. Great shooting from Kirsty and Jemma kept us ahead and there was good centre court work by Debbie, Megan and Shannon getting the ball up court.

Hard work from the whole team made sure the win was secured. Thank you to all the third team subs who were there to help us and Irene for stepping in and covering for Sonia who was resting at home following an operation on her ruptured achilles tendon.
