The 2nds struggled to get going in their match against Swanley.

The windy weather proved to be difficult for both teams, making the game very hard. We needed to pass short to ensure we kept possession
and had the ability to bring the ball down.

The wind proved to be very difficult in the first quarter. The defensive pair, Temi (GD) and Elise (GK) played very well together,
marking the shooters out of the circle and getting vital rebounds. Shannon (WD) brought the ball down the court along with the help of
Temi and Debbie (C) to help the attackers. Lois continuously offered and drove into clear spaces. The shooters found it difficult to score
in this quarter due to the weather. The quarter score ended 16-14 to Swanley.

We saw only one change at the second quarter, Jess was brought on at WD. She tightly marked the WA and made it harder for the other team
to bring the ball down the court. Again the defenders played well, with Elise and Temi making great interceptions. Debbie and Lois played
well together around the circle, giving different options to the shooters when they needed it. The shooters began to play better
together and put up great shots. We did not score enough to make the score level and the quarter ended up to be 16-14 to Swanley.

At the third quarter, only one change was made. Lily was brought on at centre for Debbie who had a good game. After a couple of minutes, Lily managed to fit into the game. All the team began to mark tighter making it harder for the opposing team to get the ball down the
attacking end. Unfortunately the team didn't really flow like it normally does making some silly errors. The end score of the quarter was 24-18 to Swanley.

We saw even more changes to the final quarter. Shannon was brought back on to WD, Elise was brought to GD and Denise to GK. Swanley put even more pressure on us. The shooters continuously put up shots, with the help of Lily and Lois who worked together well around the circle. The defense marked their attackers tight, increasing the pressure. However, the team did not work as well as usual and we found it difficult to make the play flow smoothly. Overall it was a difficult game and the final score of the game was 36-28.
