KCNC got off to a fantastic start with some good driving forward from Lola (C) and Lily (WA) and some excellent shooting from Lois (GA) and Alice (GS). The defense also worked diligently; Dee, Temi and Hannah all made outstanding tips and interceptions to only allow 6 goals from Trinity throughout the quarter.
The second quarter continued to see some superb shooting from Alice and Lois, with some well timed feeding from Lola and Lily; the two U14 girls seemed to fit well in the team and showed their developing experience. Eleanor came on as WD and made a good contribution to the defense, with only 8 goals being scored by Trinity.
Jess joined the team for the third quarter, making a comfortable return to the team after injury. The shots continued to go in and the girls increased their lead to 47 v 22.
The final score of 57 v 31 was a good indication of how well the team worked together. Each of the combinations, saw everyone working hard and for each other.
