Big win for the third team

Despite the cold, early start, Club warmed up well ready for their match against Lee NT 1.

Club started well with Temi at C getting good tips and interceptions from the outset. Brooke at WD was alert and getting her hands on any loose balls. With Emily at GS and Alice at GA working well together in the circle to make space, club finished the quarter 3 goals ahead with the score at 7-4.

Second quarter saw Skylar come on at GK immediately getting her hands on interceptions and showing strong man to man defence. Good pressure over the ball from Brooke allowed Devon at GD to get some good tips. Jenny (WA), Alice and Temi worked hard bringing the ball down court raising the score at the end of the second quarter to 18-11 to Club.

Changes in the third quarter saw Jess come on at GA combing well with Emily at GS with both shooters finding great space in the circle, despite the tough defenders. Accurate feeds into the circle from Jenny at WA and some great feeds in from Maria at WD meant that Emily and Jess had plenty of opportunities to shoot which increased Clubs lead to 31-14 at the end of the quarter.

More changes in the final quarter saw Maria moving to C, Temi to WA, Devon to WD and Rebecca to GD. Although there were various changes, the flow of the game was not affected. Maria and Temi bringing the ball up court nicely allowed Emily and Jess to continue to get the shots in. Pressure from Rebecca and Skylar in the circle created forced errors from Lee NT giving Club some good turn overs.

Everyone worked hard throughout the match and the final score was 47-24 to Club.
