Third team suffer a big loss to Harmony 1

KCNC 3 had an early morning match against Harmony 1 and began their warm up at 8am. Due to a couple of members of the team being absent, the team knew that the game ahead would be challenging.

Emily took responsibility in the shooting circle being the experienced player as Rebecca (a defensive player) had the role of GA. However, due to a lack of movement around the edge of the circle and a few missed shots Club ended the quarter with just 4 goals. Meanwhile, Harmony 1 took advantage and stormed into the lead scoring 15 goals.

In the second quarter Brooke, Maria and Druanne worked hard to pass the ball through the court smoothly in order to give the shooters more opportunities. Eve and Maureen kept a tight defence throughout the whole quarter to restrict the shooters attempts. Harmony 1 remained dominant and the lead escaped to 29-15.

Both shooters, Emily and Rebecca, showed strength in their clear movements and good balance on the back line. A few loose balls that could have resulted in turnovers were missed as Clubs focus dropped and little mistakes resulted in the lead extending to 39-21.

For the last quarter Club were determined to come away with two points from the match so knew they had to at least halve Harmony 1's score. The quarter was much better as Club carried on and forced errors for the now tiring opposition. Overall it was a tough game and unfortunately the team lost 53-31 despite some very good passages of play.
