Club storm to a win over Raiders 2

Club started the game well after a good long warm up winning it 8-5 although Raiders were making it a close game. The defence did well getting loads of interceptions, especially thanks to Amy who was recovering from her injury. Eve also did well to collect the rebounds and they worked together well. The centre court of Brooke and Becks also did well brining the ball down court smoothly though there were a few mistakes from both teams.

In the 2nd quarter club improved so that they were leading 18-11 and the ball started to flow much more smoothly down court. Dru did well to get a lot of rebounds off the shot and Maria and Becks did well as back up on the edge of the circle. The defence were still doing well to get all of the interceptions and rebounds.

Raiders did better in the 3rd quarter scoring 9 goals; however clubs attack was still improving as the shooters got used to working together so they ended the quarter 29-20. Maureen came on well at GD putting a lot of the pressure on the shooters and making sure that either she or Amy got the rebounds.

The Raiders defence was tough throughout the game but Emily and Dru did well to find space and there were some great feeds into the circle from Maria at C and Becks at WA, a different position or her. Again the defence played well, keeping Raiders to only 4 goals as they tired so that the end result was 41-24 to club, a great result.
