After a disappointing loss in their last game club were determined to work very hard and get the win they needed.

Raiders had first centre and they were the first team to score. Following this club went all out on their centre pass and also scored. This was the beginning of a close quarter with both teams looking strong. Club were playing well however Raiders just had the edge and went into the lead at the end of the quarter with the score being 6-11

Although Raiders were in the lead Club were playing well and continued into the second quarter with high spirits. A change in defence saw Ruth Dempsey come out to GD and Tara Brydon go back to GK. The defence started to make more interceptions and the strength of the centre court combined with the accurate shooting of Jade Hierons GA and Dorothy Bryan GS saw Club closing in on the score. The two teams were now level at the end of the quarter with a score of 19-19.

Going into the third quarter Club needed to keep their efforts up in order to gain a good result. Alannah Martin came on at GS and produced some great movement around the circle with accurate shooting. Kirsty Hall at WA made many interceptions and worked well with the shooters around the circle edge. Katie Hunt at WD also made interceptions and this combined with solid work from the whole team meant that club kept scoring however again Raiders also were working hard and just crept into the lead with the score being 27-29

There were only 2 goals in it and this is where it has gone wrong for club in previous games however the team were determined not to have a repeat performance of this. The whole team went out fighting for the win, the shooters continued to score goals under immense pressure and the defence kept tightly marking the attack. Charlie Penny at C put great pressure on the passes causing the opposing team to make mistakes and Ruth at GD made many interceptions which saw Club scoring off Raiders centres. The whole team put all their efforts in from beginning to end which paid off as Club took the win with a score of 38-36

Due to Raiders fielding a player who had already played up to their 1st team 3 times the game was forfeit and Club were awarded the points hence the result on the fixtures page.
