First challenged to be faced - Club found themselves 11 goals down due to the handicap system in place and therefore were going to have to come out all guns blazing!! The shooters soon found their rhythm and with Katie Wolcott and Maria Thoomkuzhiyil showing what big drives and a straight line ball can do, Club were easily breaking down the Eclipse defence.

After the first quarter, Club were trailing 16-12 (having actually won the quarter 8-1). With changes constantly being made, the defence of Eve Moseby, Emma Clarke, Manita Mandair and Emily Ledsham made it incredibly difficult for the Eclipse attack to get any sort of momentum going. Club continued to bring the ball through court well with Ellie Barnes, Meg Tutton and Daisy Saunders all rotating well in the circle. Some great vision on the feeds from Amelia Fish saw Club continue to make inroads into the lead and the team was trailing by just one goal at half time 19-20.

The second half was all about Club, and the hard work that the girls have been showing at training was paying off. Maria was a class above the rest of the field and made it impossible for the Eclipse WD with her well timed and dynamic moves to the top of the circle. She made feeds that shouldn't have existed and the huge pressure in the front court defence allowed her to make some superb interceptions. But the eventual win was due to more than just one player, it was a whole team performance that saw everyone dig and play some fantastic netball. Club eventually came out on top 35-20 winners - proof to the coach that they can do it, and do it in style.
